The Latitude is Dell's business line — built to a different standard than consumer hardware. The chassis is more rigid, the keyboard is more durable, and the internal design is meant to be serviced by an IT department, not replaced. For a refurb buyer, that last point matters: a machine designed to be opened and repaired is one we can inspect and restore properly, which is exactly what we do.

The 5000 series is the most common on our floor. Straightforward business spec, solid build quality, available in 13 and 14-inch configurations. The 7000 series is the step up — thinner, lighter, better display options (sometimes OLED or QHD), and a chassis that holds up well to daily travel. Either works for most office use; the 7000 is worth it if the machine goes on planes or into bags regularly.

What to look for: 16GB RAM handles everything short of video editing or heavy data work. 512GB SSD if you keep files locally; 256GB works if you're cloud-heavy. FHD (1080p) is the standard — a worthwhile step up to QHD if you're doing design work or spending long hours on screen.
